Saurin was born in Uganda, grew up in Canada and emigrated to Buffalo, NY with his family in 2006. As a Head and Neck Surgical Oncologist, board certified in the US and Canada and trained in laser, robotic, and endoscopic techniques, technology is a pillar of his professional healthcare pursuits. So when the BOTANILINE founders approached him to take part in this innovative endeavor that not only offers novel and highly advanced food processing technology, but also healthier and natural alternatives, he has been eager to take part as Clinical Director, in advancing BOTANILINE.
After receiving a Bachelors degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Saurin earned a Medical Doctorate from the University of Western Ontario in London and then completed his Residency training in Toronto, Los Angeles and the United Kingdom. He then did advanced Fellowship training in Head and Neck Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of Toronto followed by Fellowship training in Skull Base Surgery in Switzerland. After 10 years in practice, he embarked on a Masters in Business Administration degree jointly offered by Cornell University and Queen’s University which he completed in 2010
As Clinical Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Buffalo School of Medicine and Director of the Comprehensive Head and Neck Center (CHANCe), Saurin is involved in clinical practice, health care administration, teaching and clinical research at several centers in Upstate New York. With this background, Saurin adds to the diverse and deep perspectives and approaches of BOTANILINE’s team.
